But in all seriousness, this is the style of clothes in Xyrell, the part of the world that she comes from. Mainly because they consider those styles as traditional.

A little bit about her culture:

Xyrell: Clothing styles tend to be conforming and or show much skin as they prefer to feel free and comfortable. Every civilian in Xyrell sports some form of weapon, thus, weapons range in size and shape. In other words, both men and women are allowed to fight. However, their weapons are considered to be 'barbaric' and ruthless as they all tend to sport features that inflict maximum amount of pain on their opponents. They do not believe in giving a quick death, but rather in fighting till their opponent is completely and utterly decimated.

Vaxthor: Clothing styles are a conforming, Steam Punk-Victorian style and show little skin. Only soldiers are allowed to carry weapons and only those who are born to be in the army or are of noble blood learn how to fight. Only men are allowed to fight. Weaponry are sleek and uniform. The most common weapons are rapiers or broadswords. They believe in a quick, 'merciful' death to their enemies in battle. Ironic that they have the worse torture methods of the land.

Despite the differences between the two countries, inter marriages between the royal families keep these two countries from inevitable war. Though the Vaxthorians see the Xyrellians as barbarians and the Xyrellians see the Vathorians as stuck up pricks.
